Southampton Academic Foundation

The Southampton Township Academic Resources Foundation was established in 1999 to help strengthen community involvement in the educational integrity of Southampton Township, promote innovative learning programs and attract and disburse private resources to assure educational excellence for all Southampton Township public school students.

The Foundation operates independently from the Southampton Township School District for the sole benefit of students. Its focus is on creative teaching and learning, facilitating student development and promoting school/community partnerships.

The trustees of the Foundation are community and business leaders, most of whom are not directly affiliated with the school district and who serve without compensation. The organization is a New Jersey non-profit corporation and enjoys Federal tax exempt status.

The purpose is to listen and to enlist the community’s help in providing the educational tools the children of Southampton Township need to succeed in school and in life.

The Foundation support six special funds:

  1. Technology and Learning Fund
  2. Scholastic Enhancement Fund
  3. Arts and Education Fund
  4. Professional Development Fund
  5. Cultural Enrichment Fund
  6. Health and Physical Fitness Fund

The Southampton Township Academic Resources Foundation Trustees collectively focus on generating and distributing funds to supplement school programs. Trustees review all applications and approve project funding, with input from the Board of Education members, school administrators and teachers.

Through your support, the Southampton Township Academic Resources Foundation can provide learning opportunities for our students and school staff, as well as, enhance the lives of members of the community.

Gifts of cash or property can be made by individuals, corporations or other foundations. Individuals interested in giving through wills, trusts, securities or as memorials or tribute, should contact the Foundation for details.
