Volunteer to be a Mediator

The Southampton Township Municipal Court is seeking volunteers to serve as Mediators. Mediation is a confidential process which allows people to meet with an independent mediator who will aid them in resolving their minor dispute. Some examples of disputes that are mediated include local ordinances, such as barking or running at large dogs, loud music, also disorderly persons offenses such as trespass by children, bad checks, and harassment.

No prior experience is required to become a Volunteer Mediator. Eighteen hours of training will be provided by the Superior Court in Mount Holly. Because this program is administered by the court, a criminal background check must be scheduled with the Municipal Court Judge, Richard E. Andronici and the Court Administrator, Terry L. Bodine.

To obtain an application, please contact the Southampton Township Municipal Court Administrator at 609-859-2747.
